A lot of people have trouble getting the most out of their experience every day, so here is a guide to help you with that.
Alright here we go.
Your primary experience will be coming from dungeons and story-line quests. Your quests and the dungeons to the quests should go hand-in-hand with your level to at least level 30. Starting at level 30, or even before, you can redo a dungeon and reap a very large amount of exp. Remember whenever you're doing dungeons to eat food to increase your exp by 3%. It's not much, but it does add up.
Make sure whenever you reach the appropriate levels to do Guild Hests. The first time you do them they give a huge experience boost and usually teach you how to properly play in parties.
If you're tired of doing dungeons over and over then Fates and Hunting logs are the fastest exp you can get. Hunting logs are limited, but the best exp. Fates are unlimited and give great exp making it the easiest to quickly opposed to burst exp from hunting logs.
(I'm only including fate areas level 30+ I highly suggest re-doing dungeons to learn how to better play your class to prepare you for end-game content. People will appreciate it.)
Level 30-35: Costa Del Sol/Wineport
Level 35-40: Wineport/Coerthas
Level 40-45: Coerthas
Level 45-50: Northern Thanalan
Remember when Fate grinding it is very important to find a full party and eat food to maximize your experience. Please remember to be courteous to others when asking to join Fate groups. This is also a great opportunity to make friends/find an FC to join. Also, do not summon chocobos into a fate party. People reserve spaces for actual people to get the full party bonus, faster exp from p member kills, and the 2nd bar of limit break.
Warning: Be extremely cautious if you see several fates such as the Behemoth Fate which spawns in Coerthas, the Chimera Fate in Northern Thanalan, or the Odin Fate in any of the Shrouds. They are high level and very deadly often resulting in instant party wipes if you're not sure how to combat them.
Arcanists+Jobs: When fate grinding quickly, try your best not to aggro mobs you aren't going to fight. Aggroing an enemy as your riding to another fate will result in you getting too far away from your summon and it will be dismissed.
If you get tired of doing both Dungeons and Fates then the next option is Leve quests. You only get 3 leve allowances every 12 hours so many people like to leave them for their second classes, especially for Disciples of the Land. Leve quests provide only a moderate amount of exp so it isn't as efficient as Fate Grinding, but it does provide variety away from Fate Grinding for awhile.
Remember when leveling, the most important thing you're getting out of it is experience of your class. Learn to play your class as best as you can and people will appreciate it a whole lot later.
If you see any spelling mistakes, would like to make suggestions, etc. Please reply to this thread or drop me a line at my blog post: na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/2943965/blog/263426/
